Weston Warnock, DVM is originally from Bastrop, TX, where he was raised on his family’s cattle operation. He attended Texas A&M University with a major in Animal Science for his undergraduate studies, and obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Texas A&M in 2012. After graduation, Dr. Warnock completed a one year equine surgical rotating internship at a busy surgical referral practice in Salinas, California. Upon completion of his internship, Dr. Warnock moved back to Texas, and completed a 3-year residency in Equine Surgery at a surgical referral practice in Weatherford, TX, after which he stayed on as a staff surgeon and spent time on the racetrack in Ruidoso, NM before moving to Elgin. Dr. Warnock specializes in equine surgery, with emphasis in orthopedics/fracture repair, arthroscopy, and laryngeal/pharyngeal surgery. He also has extensive experience and interest in gastrointestinal (colic) surgery, and he has completed research focusing on laryngeal surgery in racing Quarter Horses. Outside of the clinic, Weston enjoys hunting, saltwater fishing, team roping, and spending time with his family.
