Dr. Cody Johnson is from Palestine Tx. He competed in high school rodeo as a calf roper and team roper and later accepted a rodeo scholarship to Trinity Valley Community College. Through rodeo, he decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine and was accepted to Texas A&M University, where he completed Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine degrees. Cody has been involved in the Texas Veterinary Medicine Association as a student member of the legislative committee and is a member of the American Association of Equine Practitioners. He is very passionate about being an advocate for the equine industry in Texas and developing policies that support horsemen. Cody’s primary practice interests are sports medicine and surgery but he enjoys all aspects of equine medicine as well. In his spare time, Cody enjoys spending time with his wife Amy, hunting, fishing and roping.
